In the Dystopia, Cyberpunk future of Beta Red, players take the role of Mercs, citizens in an unjust society who make money by doing the dangerous, illegal things that people must do in the corporate controlled, late-stage capitalist society the world has become. They are hired by a Patron, someone who represents a contact with money who needs something done, to get a briefcase from a person who is transporting it via magnetically powered, hyper-speed bullet train. If only it were as easy as it sounds. Beta Red is a unique D6 dice pool roleplaying system that allows players to be augmented Humans, Robots, Clones, or Psychics in a mixed Western Literature and Japanese Anime Cyberpunkian universe. Pre-generated characters provided, and rules explained. Open to players 12+. Session is GM-ed by game designer, a local Oregonian.
