Description: | Can you survive character creation? Traveller is an Old School Sci-Fi RPG that is notorious for having a character creation system that includes the possible death of the character. In Classic Traveller, the character creation process is a random, and potentially lethal process which does not explain how you end up with the skills and items you start with, but leaves it up to your interpretation. Over time, the character generation system became less lethal, and added more of a life-path system into the character creation process. This gives you prompts to think about the story of your character. This session is not a full RPG session, but just the character creation portion. It allows you to experience the mini-game of character creation that made Traveller so enticing to early RPG fans, and who knows, your character might just die during character creation. Options for character creation could include: Classic Traveller Do you dare press your luck? Will you create a skilled veteran, who survives many terms, a fresh faced recruit, or a handsome corpse? |
