This is John Lee. I am the creator of this game! I invite players of any experience to play the 4th Prototype of Innomination.
This card game has as similar play structure to games like Magic: The Gathering with elements from the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, Force of Will TCG, and the Pokemon TCG. Digital card games like Hearthstone and Shadowverse were also in mind. If you've played any of these, Innomination may feel familiar to you.
Innomination is not a trading card game (TCG). I want to make Innomination as a complete game out of a box, like a board game. You'll get a full playset of every card. No rarities, no booster packs, no multiple boxes with randomly selected decks in it, no time spent scouring the secondary market for singles... Open the box knowing you have a complete card game.
There are 319 unique cards in this game. There is prototype art for all of the cards, and small handful have illustrations from artists, many who have done a fantastic job getting the type of artstyle I want to make for the rest of the game.
The main mechanic that makes Innomination what it is is the Named Deck. Every card in your Main Deck is a "nameless" card. They don't have names. They're just descriptions of people, places, and things. You must "name" these cards by "evolving" the cards from the Named Deck. The Named Deck contains your most powerful creatures, spells, and sources (resource to play more powerful cards).
There are 6 available decks, each one representing a nation, their people, and culture. This is 1v1 game, so two pairs of players are needed. As much of I want to run 3 games, it can get overwhelming for one person to be the judge of 3 games, and I want to give all players my time and attention.
Innomination is going to Kickstarter at the beginning of June of 2022. I can't make this a game with a real professional look and feel without help.
We should be playing for about 2 hours. I would like to make time to talk to everyone and their experience afterwards. I want to know what you think, what I could possibly do better, etc.
Fully sleeved cards, playmats, game tokens, game manuals, pens, and notecards provided. We will not be reading the entire game manual (half the manual gets into advanced techniques and nitty-gritty rulings).
